Scale the Heights of The Broadgate Tower

Join fellow stair climb enthusiasts in our exclusive Tower Climb. Challenge friends and colleagues to get to the top. We’ll give you all the support you need to get you fitter, faster and ready for the day. Push yourself to the limit in July in the ultimate tower running challenge.

Once you’ve conquered London’s impressive building, you will be rewarded with a celebratory drink and food galore.

Running up a skyscraper isn’t your average challenge event, so it’s important to prepare for our stair climb with specific training. We’ll also help you with tips and advice on fundraising, so meeting your pledge will be a breeze.

Minimum Sponsorship: £100

35 floors not enough for you?

We have two further options for those keen to get really fit:

A quarter vertical climb – climb the Tower three times!  Minimum sponsorship £150

A true vertical climb – this is for experienced stair climbers, climbing the Tower 12 times! Minimum sponsorship £175

Is my registration fee refundable?

Your registration fee is only refundable if we cancel the event, but you can transfer your place.

Is the Stair Climb open to everyone?

The event is open to everyone over the age of 18.

How high is The Broadgate Tower?

The Broadgate Tower is 541ft tall, 35 floors, 877 steps which is the equivalent of 3 times the height of Nelosn’s Column

How long will the climb take me?

The average time is around 8-10 minutes, however there is no time limit. 

Is the Stair Climb Chip Timed?

Yes, the event will be professionally chip timed.

When does registration open on the day?

Registration will be open from 9am, where you will be given race numbers and final instructions for the event.  Please arrive in plenty of time prior to your selected wave start.

What are the health benefits of Stair Climbing?

Stair Climbing is classed as a vigorous physical activity and burns more calories per minute than jogging and can lead to improved CV fitness, a stronger musculoskeletal system, reduced risk of heart disease and promotion of weight loss and muscle tone. Will there be medical supervision?

First aiders will be present at the event as well as marshals at regular intervals on the stairs for your safety.

What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring your printed race confirmation.

What do I need to wear?

Running kit will be perfect.

Will there be refreshments?

Yes, refreshments will be available on the day.

Are there changing facilities & showers?

There are toilets and facilities to get changed, but no showers.

Can spectators come along?

There is limited space for spectators.

Can I volunteer?

Events such as these cannot take place without the very kind help of volunteers. If you are coming along to spectate, why not get involved too? Please e-mail if you would like to help.

Is there parking?

There is no parking at the building, public transport is advised, with Liverpool Street being the closest tube.
