On Sunday 16th October the children of Broomwood Hall School came to Dulwich Park to run and scoot and raise money for the school’s charity Broomwood In Ethiopia.
Despite the wet start to the day there was a fantastic turnout from the children, with many putting a lot of effort into their fancy dress outfits. Even some of the fathers decided to don costumes for the event with a shark and a horse taking their places on the starting line.
We enjoyed a timely break in the weather as the children began the event comprising 1, 2 or 3 loops of the carriageway of Dulwich Park. Many of the children took to their scooters, but several chose to run. They all put in an immense amount of effort and were rewarded with medals and sweets at the finish courtesy of Mrs Jenkinson and Miss Paynter
